Emelyn Ho

Emelyn has been passionately involved in preschool education since 1994. She holds a business degree with the National University of Singapore and later realized her calling in educating young children. She then pursued studies in this area and graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education with University of Melbourne. The first decade of her teaching years were dedicated to Julia Gabriel Communications Limited and Chiltern House.

Emelyn’s expertise is to help children realize their potential in all areas, including language and literacy, creative movements, self awareness and social development, science and the environment, etc. She headed the operations of Chiltern House when they first started their east branch, and overlooked the curriculum development, parental involvement, and integration of special needs children into mainstream learning.

Emelyn is effectively bilingual, and is doing research and developing new methodologies to help children interested in learning Mandarin. Emelyn is a strong believer that every child can eventually communicate confidently in Mandarin when given the right environment and motivation. Under Families for Tomorrow Services, she has been serving as consultant and advisor for about 7 years, to plan and run Familiies@School and Families@Work programs for about 30 schools. She also runs and speaks at Parenting and Marriage Workshops for schools and conventions held by MSF and Marriage Central (e.g. Singapore Parenting Congress 2010 and Real Love Works 2012)

Her free time are spent with her husband, Jason, an education advisor for mind training programmes, and their two lovely children Faith and Caleb, who are sixteen and ten years old.
